Get Involved!
Start Here:TOMORROW *(today, 3.23.17)
the House is expected to vote on its dangerous plan to gut the ACA and "defund" Planned Parenthood health centers. This vote would have happened much sooner had people like you not flooded Congress with angry phone calls, so let's flood them one last time before the vote. Every member of Congress needs to know that their constituents are watching and remembering this vote.
If you do one thing today, click here to call your representative in the House and tell them to vote NO tomorrow on the bill that attacks care at Planned Parenthood.
More Time?
Do This:
1) Mark your calendars! Next Wednesday, March 29, we're holding a nationwide Pink Out Day with the goal of making sure lawmakers and their staff members see Planned Parenthood pink everywhere they go. RSVP on Facebook and invite your friends, too!
2) As hearings begin for Judge Neil Gorsuch's nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court, use this tool to call your senators and tell them to oppose Gorsuch's confirmation.

Defender of the Week
Katie N. (26, NY) is a Planned Parenthood Defender, patient, and Medicaid enrollee. When given the opportunity to question Secretary of Health and Human Services Tom Price at a CNN town hall, she chose to ask him how patients like her — who depend on services at Planned Parenthood health centers — are supposed to get care if those health centers get "defunded" by Congress.
The question allowed host Dana Bash to debunk Sec. Price's misleading response, and helped shine a light on just how critical Planned Parenthood health centers are in the communities they serve. We admire the bravery she showed by sharing her story and confronting Sec. Price, as well as her passion for fighting for access to health care. Thanks, Katie!
#GettingMeThrough On April 10, Sesame Street will introduce its first new Muppet on the air in over a decade: a shy 4-year-old with autism who loves to paint. Julia, who's already appeared in some of Sesame Street's other media, was crafted over a period of several years with the input of 14 different autism advocacy groups. Her addition to the Sesame crew is intended to give children with autism and their families someone to identify with, and to give all children a model for how to behave around and include people with autism. Julia, and Sesame Street's continued effort to program for vulnerable and diverse families, are #GettingMeThrough this week!
